International container shipping is a mode of transport 

whereby the carrier delivers, through containers, the 

cargoes consigned by the shipper from one country 

to another. In international container shipping, liner 

companies provide non-specific customers with 

standardized container cargo transport services between 

fixed ports of call along fixed routes and in accordance 

with the pre-established sailing schedules and rules. 

The liners carry all types of products other than dry bulk 

cargoes, oil products, and special cargoes.
