Major overseas exchanges that list and clear shipping 

derivatives include the Singapore Exchange (SGX), 

European Energy Exchange (EEX), Chicago Mercantile 

Exchange (CME), and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). 

The contracts range from futures to options and FFAs. In 

particular, CME and SGX launched their container freight 

index futures in 2022 and 2023 respectively
