According to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy 2022, in 

2021, the international petroleum trade was 66,958,000 bpd and 

the total consumption was 94,088,000 bpd, meaning 71.2% of 

the oil consumed worldwide was delivered by international trade. 

More than 40% of the oil trade growth was due to the U.S. and 

India
